In August of 2003, Charles R Schwab acted alone or, more likely, conspired with the US Government in trying to frame me for attempting to murder him. It was reported in the news that "bombs" had been discovered at Schwab's Pebble Beach mansion, where he was once planning to retire with his fiancee, Kim Haines, and at the nearby Charles Schwab office in Carmel. This story was covered in the San Francisco Chronicle and other newspapers, where it can be found in their archives. The obvious purpose of this hoax, which I will discuss, was to shift the focus off of Schwab and onto me, portraying me as a madman, thus discrediting my allegations against him. Years later, in early 2008, I began to realize that it was much more serious than this. It was an attempt to trap me and get me off the streets for a few years in the same manner Bush and Cheney were dealing with anyone else they labeled a "political enemy" or "terrorist." Had they been successful in framing me for attempted murder and characterizing me as a madman, I would have never been able to tell my story. Knowing that the US Government could stoop this low in the treatment of one of its citizens makes me weep.
On August 19, 2003, Kim was upset and crying when she called to tell me that bombs had been found on Schwab's properties and to ask if I was the one who had planted the bombs. She wanted to know from me because both Charles R Schwab and her business partner, Keith Johnson, of Fieldstone Homes, had told her they thought I had planted the bombs and was trying to kill Schwab. This was interesting, for in a few days I would learn from the FBI that Schwab and Haines had sworn that they didn't know one another. Indeed, the US Government sometimes works in mysterious ways. Schwab and Johnson are very good friends and at the time these bombs were discovered had homes near one another on the same street in a gated community in San Diego.
Kim told me that she was also receiving "death threats" on the telephone and I assumed that if Schwab and Johnson were accusing me of trying to kill Schwab, they figured that Kim would conclude that I was also trying to kill her. These powerful men couldn't seem to understand the basics of life. Sort of like Bush's "Shock and Awe" theory with the people of Iraq. Kim and I had been engaged to be married and were still very close. Instead of just accepting their lies, in desperation she called me for help. Kim always considered these powerful men her close friends and could not begin to imagine that they might be the perpetrators of such a hoax. Also, she would have no reason to think they might be co-conspirators with the US government. However, I knew instantly what was going on. Let me emphasize that if anyone was serious about trying to kill Schwab they would plant the bombs at his mansion in Atherton, CA, where he was living (as if anyone could even get close to his mansion), or at his Charles Schwab Corporate office in downtown San Francisco where he was working. Why would anyone with half a brain think he would be working out of the tiny Charles Schwab office in Carmel? I talked to Kim and tried to assure her that she was not in danger--that it was a hoax and a feeble attempt to frame me for attempted murder. I told Kim that the FBI would soon be knocking on my door, but it would be OK.
Two days later, on August 21, 2003, Eugene FBI agent John Ferreira, who had originally refused to talk to me about my allegations against Charles R Schwa one year earlier, and a second agent, came knocking on my door. I was subsequently interrogated at their office. Ferreira started the session by holding up a letter I had written to Schwab some six months prior. Ferreira told me that it was because of this letter that Schwab thought I was responsible for the bombs and was trying to kill him. I sensed that Ferreira joined me in realizing how utterly ridiculous this was. Besides having been written six months prior, the letter did not contain any threats, but was only an appeal for Schwab to quit harassing Kim.
This whole conspiracy was poorly orchestrated. At the time I was being interrogated by the FBI, it had already been determined that the bombs were fakes. So why would it make sense for the FBI to be questioning me about the bombs? If someone really wanted to kill Schwab, would they be using fake bombs and planting them over a hundred miles from where he was living and working? The US Government and Schwab had really screwed up for not anticipating that the local bomb squad would discover that the bombs were fakes. At the same time, an FBI spokesperson was telling the media that the hoax was probably used as a scare tactic and that "because of the nature of Charles Schwab and his business, the suspects could be nationwide or worldwide." Unless they were totally out of touch, this was a lie, for at the same time they were making these announcements, FBI agents were interrogating me about the bombs. Why didn't the FBI tell the media, We have a suspect and his name is.... Lies lies lies and more lies. However, things were to become much worse.
Based upon the demeanor of the FBI agents who were interrogating me, it was doubtful that either put any stock in Schwab's accusations and were just going through the motions. However, it was very serious. During our discussion, Agent Ferreira probably broke the rules when he told me that Charles Schwab and Kim Haines had both claimed to the FBI that they did not know one another or me. I was shocked and suddenly realized that Kim had betrayed me a year earlier joining Schwab in lying to the FBI. Today I realize that she was probably unaware that she had joined the US conspiracy to protect Schwab.
The US Government and Schwab had blundered badly by assuming I was in California and near Schwab's properties. I had been communicating via emails with friends in California about my plans to visit. I mentioned specifically that I planned to tour along Seventeen Mile Drive (near Schwab's mansion at Pebble Beach and the Carmel Charles Schwab office} during the very week that these bombs were found. However, fate was with me, for I had cancelled my plans and was not in California when these so called "bombs" were discovered. The only way the US Government and Schwab could have known I was planning to be in the area where the bombs were found was to have hacked into my computer and reading my emails. This was one whole year after I had written Bush and leaders in Congress about Schwab's hacking my computers and other illegal activities. Rather than responding to my allegations and enforcing the laws, which is their Constitutional duty, they spent a year joining Schwab and conspiring with him to protect him from our system of justice--all the while turning the tables and trying to make me appear to be a criminal.
Ah, America, with its freedom and justice for all. How many other billionaire criminals are being protected by the US government, with blatant disregard for human decency and the US Constitution.
I now wonder how many innocent people have been framed and locked up by the US Government and rich people like Schwab. The US has become a scary place and it isn't because of terrorists from foreign lands or Al Queda. It's because of the terrorists within our government and in our corporate offices.
In order to verify my whereabouts during the period when the bombs were discovered, Ferreira asked for the names and phone numbers of people who could verify that I was in Eugene when the bombs were discovered. Though I provided three or four names, he didn't bother to call any of them. Why waste the time. I followed-up our initial meeting by providing Ferreira ample evidence to disprove the claims of Kim and Schwab that they did not know one another. I also again provided evidence to prove my other allegations against Schwab. Agent Ferreira told me that based on this input, the FBI was going to talk with Schwab and Kim again and if they were lying they were going to prison. Sure. Because the San Francisco FBI office was handling the case, he said he would forward my stack of documents to them. Of course, I never heard from the FBI again. Six and a half years have passed and Schwab and Kim are still not in jail. And neither is George W Bush, Dick Cheney, Karl Rove, and others involved in this conspiracy.
The Bush Administration was not about to give up. Even though they had not bothered to talk to any of the witnesses I had provided to verify my whereabouts, Agent Ferreira called a few days later and asked if I would come in and submit to a polygraph test. I knew the truth about what was going on and initially agreed; I could easily pass the test. However, because I thought Schwab was trying to frame me, I talked with my attorney about this and she advised against taking the test. I called Ferreira and told him that I would take the test only if Charles Schwab would also agree to take it. Should I be surprised that I never heard from him again. Because of the potential inaccuracy of these tests, plus the likelihood that the test would be rigged by the Bush administration to make sure I failed, I can only imagine what might have happened to me had I submitted to this test. Remember, they were asking me to take this test, one year after I had filed charges against Schwab. One year after I had provided dozens of Kim's emails that supported my allegations. And after one year of never having contacted me or having discussed the case with me. Just take the polygraph test if you are fool enough. Just as so many innocent men have been falsely accused and incarcerated by the Bush Administration, I might have been charged with planting the bombs and attempted murder and then spend a few years behind bars or in a mental hospital drugged until Bush and Schwab were safely situated on their retirement ranches.
Note: It has taken me a long time to realize that when Agent Ferreira advised me of Kim's and Schwab's claims that they didn't know one another, he was breaking the rules and doing me a great favor. Had I not learned about this from him I would never have had a clue that the US Government was engaged in a conspiracy to protect Schwab. I do realize the impact this might have had on Ferreira's career. If so, I thank him and commend him for being a man of character and not allowing himself to be sucked into the cesspool of wealth and corruption that rules our country.
Consider: If Bush and the US Government was not involved in this attempt to frame me, Schwab was solely responsible
* So why wasn't he prosecuted for falsely accusing me of attempted murder, which is a felony?
* Why didn't the FBI do as they told me and try to prove that Schwab and Kim were lying about not knowing one another?
* If the US Congress was not involved with this bomb hoax conspiracy, why haven't they investigated and prosecuted Bush and Schwab for trying to frame me for attempted murder?
* I have written to the last four US Attorney Generals about this conspiracy to frame me, however no one from the US Department of Justice has discussed the matter with me. And it's obvious they haven't gone after the perpetrators.
* This whole conspiracy was invented by the Bush Administration.
