Social Security
A well organized bureaucracy where most applicants
are automatically denied benefits or assistance
Supporting doctor testing and reports are inconsequential
Face to face contact & evaluation by Social Security counselors is minimal
or non-existent
Major life support decisions are often based on a ten minute phone interview
Appeals without an attorney are automatically rejected
For those who are aware of the system and make it through the maze
The final decisions are relegated to SS attorneys and judges
Assumption
Judges are more capable of making life decisions than neuropsychologists
and doctors
