Kim's Background

Varian Associates:  Varian Kimbro Haines is the granddaughter on her mother's side of one of the Varian brothers who founded Varian Associates.

Micron Corporation:   Kim's father, Ray Kimbro, was involved with the technology upon which Micron Corporation in Boise, Idaho was founded.

Charles Schwab Corporation:  Kim was engaged to Charles R Schwab, the founder and CEO of the Charles Schwab Corporation, for two years following her husband's death. Charles & Helen Schwab were divorced at the time.

Meeting Kim     

     Kim and I first met and started dating around the middle of 2001. It was not easy because she was living in Orcas Island off the coast of Washington and I was living in Eugene, Oregon. After we had been going together for a few months, Kim called to let me know that she was on an extended visit with her sister and brother-in-law in Temecula, near San Diego. They were gone and vacationing in Africa, so invited me to come visit her. She had previously lived in San Diego and had designs on living there again, so we would have an opportunity to explore the area together.

2002

      On our second or third day together, we visited nearby La Jolla where we spent the day exploring the art galleries and shops. Kim was especially interested in glass sculptures. By late afternoon, we were ready for a break and stopped at a lounge next to the beach where we sat and relaxed on the open deck. We had drinks while talking and looking out across the white sand and open sea. In the evening, we strolled along the waterfront checking out various places where we might have dinner and finally settled on a rustic-looking place that was quiet.
    During dinner, I noticed that something was bothering Kim and asked her if she was OK. This caught her by surprise and at first she said something about not feeling well. However, she seemed to be under great stress. After struggling with it for awhile and trying to restrain herself, she finally told me that she had to talk with me about her previous relationship. And thus began what would become many months of ongoing discussions and revelations about Kim's former relationship and two-year engagement to Charles R Schwab of brokerage fame. I fully believe that it was Kim's intention to keeping their relationship a private matter between them. However, she obviously could not handle anxiety and stress he was causing her.

     Kim's immediate concern and reason for talking with me, she said, was that Schwab was constantly harassing her and stalking her. He would not leave her alone. She told me that his detectives were always following her and that Schwab knew everything she did and she could not get away from him. She was especially upset because he even knew that I was in town visiting with her. Her stories about her two-year engagement with Schwab continued late into the night, as I learned about his obsession over having her back. In light of the serious relationship that was developing between us, I knew this was not something she could have kept from me for very long. Kim was obviously desperate and seeking help.
      The following day, Kim told me that Schwab had called on her cell phone and told her he was aware that we had been in La Jolla. He knew the places we visited, where we stopped for drinks, and where we had dinner. She was convinced that he was learning this from his detectives. However, I had my doubts about these "detectives" for the remainder of my stay, as I kept an eye out. Since Kim first told me about these "detectives," I felt it more likely that Schwab was hacking our computers and reading our emails. I figured that Kim had probably written a friend about our adventures in La Jolla and that Schwab's hackers had reported our activities to him. I did not discuss this with Kim because I wanted to see if I could catch Schwab's hackers. Most difficult to believe was that, if he had been reading our emails, he had probably been reading Kim's emails for the past couple years before we ever met. And how many other people had been spying on in this manner over the years. How many other corporate leaders were hiring hackers and spying on people? And how many were spying on members of the US government? And one another? Wow! Computers had introduced a new and dangerous plague upon our country..
    While complaining about Schwab's stalking, Kim told me that he had his people investigate me and knew everything about me. He knew what I was worth financially, but most alarming to her was that he even knew my former wife's name and my son's name. I had to wonder what satisfaction he was gaining by telling her that he knew all these details about my personal life. Because of her admiration for his wealth and power, what bothered Kim most was the manner in which Schwab constantly denigrated my character. She said that every time he called her, which was daily, he referred to me as " the idiot." Sometimes I was "...the idiot without a pot to piss in...and was only after her money." I was sometimes nearby and could hear her frustrated verbal exchanges with him. Indeed, wealthy men take on a God-like quality for many people.
     Kim was very concerned about her financial dealings with Schwab, which made it impossible to break away from him. Schwab had involved her in Micron's attempted purchase of bankrupt Hynix from South Korean bankers. He had loaned her a substantial amount of money with which to purchase Micron stock that would make her influential as a major stockholder in closing the deal. Though I never understood her exact role, while we were living together, Kim joined Schwab and Micron's CEO Steve Appleton on two business trips to NYC to meet with the South Korean bankers. Unfortunately, besides the failure of the takeover attempt, shortly after Kim had purchased Micron Stock with money borrowed from Schwab, the markets crashed and her stock lost most its value, which leaving her heavily indebted to Schwab. Her loan from him was in default and he suddenly gained control of the assets that she used for collateral. She often lamented the fact that he could call his loan at any time, leaving her totally broke; she often said that he had gained complete control of her life.
    After a couple days of hearing Kim's complaints about Schwab's harassment and stalking and seeing how upset she was, I suggested that I call Schwab and ask that he leave us along. She became alarmed and told me not to mess with him, for if I upset him he could have his people take care of me. Over the coming months, she told me several times not to get involved; she knew him well and to just let her handle things.

      And such are the ways of America's wealthiest and most powerful men, men who own and control our government, our society, and our very lives, while all the while being admired by innocent citizens who do not know any better.

    Despite the shocking revelations and the duress this was causing us, on the last night of my visit Kim and I talked about our future together. It was late in the evening when we agreed to become engaged to be married. We set the date for August of 2002 and agreed to go ahead and announce our plans to our family and friends.
     Over the coming months, Kim's complaints about Schwab's harassment and stalking continued and it became quite obvious that he was unable to comprehend that Kim's and my relationship went far beyond what money could buy. However, as Kim often told me, Schwab was used to getting what he wanted and was not about to give up. She continued to lament that she would never be free of him.
     Because of Schwab's apparent knowledge about our activities and lives, over the months I became more convinced that he was hacking our computers and reading our emails and other computer files. Because I still wanted to prove my suspicions, I did not discuss this with Kim until much later in our relationship. However, I did discuss it with close friends, one owning his own computer business in California. One major clue was that we were having ongoing problems with our computers. I was sure it was Schwab's hacking that was causing them to lock up and require many hours of talking on the phone with Microsoft tech support. The hacking gradually became more intense and hostile and after Kim and I had been together for almost a year, our computers were regularly trashed and required reformatting the hard drives and reloading all the software. I should point out that we were using Microsoft's Windows and top virus protection software--all worthless against Charles' hackers.
    
    In July of 2002, Schwab used his control over Kim's financial future to coerce (blackmail) her into breaking our engagement. While we were living together, he one day summoned her to his Charles Schwab Corporate office in San Francisco where she was met by, "...him and his team of attorneys." When she got home that night Kim was distraught as she told me that she had been forced into signing a contract stipulating that she would not marry me. If she refused, Schwab would call his loan and according to her, she would be ruined financially. She had no choice but to sign. Kim and I proceeded to let our families and friends know that our wedding plans had been cancelled. I told my family and friends why.
    Schwab was not satisfied that he had prevented us from becoming married, for Kim and I were still living together. So he was soon offering to release a substantial sum from Kim's portfolio, which he controlled, if she would move to San Diego and become a partner in a housing development project with his good friend and San Diego neighbor, Keith Johnson of Fieldstone Homes. Kim talked with me about this "opportunity" to regain some of her family's money that she had lost and invited me to move to San Diego with her. However, relocation was not an option for me at the time, which I am sure Schwab knew. When she hesitated to accept his offer, Schwab more than doubled his offer. Again she tried to talk me into moving with her, but again I had to refuse.

    Under severe duress, in August of 2002, Kim told me she was accepting Schwab's offer and moving to San Diego to start her new job.

    Despite all the trouble Schwab had caused us over eight months, Kim and I were still very much in love and wanting to be together. On the night before she was to leave, we decided to go out and celebrate our last romantic evening prior to her departure for San Diego next morning. We were at Adam's Place in downtown Eugene having a strenuous, but nice time when Kim suddenly became very tense. She then broke down and started confirming all my suspicions by confessing that for some time Schwab had been stealing my emails and sharing them with her. I think he did this in what she sometimes referred to as, "his reports about me." She told me that she knew that I was always on the Internet chasing other women. I was cheating on her and talking to my friends about her behind her back. When she divulged specific content of some of my emails with my friends, I knew she was telling the truth about having read my emails. However, I also knew that her claims about my chasing other women were completely false, so assumed that Schwab had to been altering my emails prior to sharing them with her, or lying in his reports. Despite my efforts, I could not convince Kim that I had never had any interest in other women. I was helpless, for Schwab's eight months of constant denigration of my character had brainwashed Kim into believing I was an evil person. Kim later repeated her confessions about Schwab's stealing my emails and sharing them with her in numerous emails. Ironically, he probably read her emails in which she discussed his having stolen my emails. Indeed, what type of world have we created.
    I was very saddened to learn later that Kim had proceeded to convince her family and friends that I was an evil womanizer and had been cheating on her and had destroyed our relationship. Though I had been totally in love with Kim and dedicated to our future together, I was totally helpless in competing with Schwab's powerful influence over her life. Despite her many months of lamenting what he had done to ruin her financially and destroy our relationship, Kim was mesmerized by Schwab's wealth and power and would not listen to reason. Over the three years that Kim and I were still communicating, she often discussed Schwab's activities--in person and in numerous emails. I have not included anything in this web site that is not supported by emails and other evidence.

    Starting in August of 2002, I reported Schwab's crimes against Kim and I to the FBI and SEC to whom I provided dozens of Kim's and my emails to support my allegations. I subsequently provided these same documents to President Bush, his cabinet members, and leaders in US Congress. All emails and documents are now in safe keeping. Many of Kim's and my emails and letters have not been published here due to their personal and sensitive nature. These documents were later provided to President Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder in January of 2008.

     As I will discuss in the Justice section, this story has been presented to the US government in dozens of letters. There is absolutely nothing new to learn about this case by their continued efforts to hack into my computers. If the US government or  Charles Schwab Corporation wants additional information, all they need do is talk to Wayne. However, as with most their illegal activities, they prefer to ignore me and pretend it didn't happen.
    If charges are ever filed against Schwab and the media are allowed to publish this story, I expect the government and Charles R Schwab to utilize their most powerful weapons and engage in a personal smear campaign against me. The US government and Schwab have had almost eight years to destroy the evidence and reinvent history. Dozens of attorneys have studied this case and have had time to develop their own version of the story and make me out to be a nut case, as they've done in the past. And I realize that I could easily disappear.
    I want to apologize to Kim, her family, and her friends for exposing information about Kim's personal life to the world. However, under severe duress, in August of 2002 Kim made a critical mistake when she betrayed me and joined Schwab and Bush in a conspiracy to obstruct justice and deny my civil rights. I am sure she was unaware of the US Government's role. Also, like Schwab and his friend, Keith Johnson, Kim assumed she was above the law and that my efforts to bring Schwab to justice would be of no consequence. Had they been dealing with the average citizen she would have probably been right. However, I had no choice but to ignore the dangers this posed and seek justice. Kim admired and feared Schwab and told me several times that he was too rich and powerful and that no one could touch him. For eight years she has been right. However, humans never escape their bad deeds and the guilt that eats away at their guts and soul.
   Besides taking Kim away from me and causing her family and friends to hate me, Schwab was also successful in turning all levels of government against me and leaving me totally abandoned by my own country. As you will see inside, I have also been abandoned by the Civil Rights unit of the United Nations, as well as its secretary general. Perhaps most importantly, I have been abandoned by the world media, to whom I have offered my story, but who have chosen to remain silent, just as they are silent about 9/11 and other US Government crimes.

    Kim's mistakes will no doubt haunt both of us for the rest of our lives. However, because I know the state of mind she was in at the time, I will always forgive her and defend her at every opportunity. Because of Schwab's total brainwashing job on her, Kim and her family will never know the truth about my loyalty to her and how much I loved her.

US Government:  Since first filing complaints against Charles R Schwab in August of 2002, the US Government has never contacted me and offered to discuss the matter. They have not advised me that they have investigated my allegations. Nor have they advised me that my allegations are inaccurate. I will take this to mean that my allegations are correct, but that the US Government is helpless to do anything about it.

Salem News:  Prior to publishing his first story about the relationship between Kim Haines and Charles R Schwab, Journalist Tim King of Salem News did what all good journalists do. He called Charles Schwab Corporation and offered to talk with Schwab and offer him an opportunity to comment on his story prior to publication. Neither Schwab nor his representative would talk with King. Salem News subsequently published several more similar stories, which are mentioned in this web site's Media page.

Charles Schwab Corporation:  When Charles Schwab corporate attorney's wrote and denied Schwab's relationship with Kim and threatened to sue me for defamation (see Schwab letters), I wrote and told them to proceed, for I welcomed the opportunity to confront Schwab in court for what he had done to Kim and me. They wisely took no action.

Since the Salem News articles and this web site's were published, no one from Charles Schwab Corporation or the US Government has contacted either Tim King or myself to discuss the validity of our story. It is now going on eight years since Schwab's crimes were first reported to the US Government. However, just like the truth about "terrorism" and 9/11, the US Government will be held in check and pretend it didn't happen.
