Because I was not receiving any response from any level of government regarding my allegations against Schwab, beginning in August of 2002, I started writing to the editors of all major newspapers and inquiring about possible interest in pursuing my story. For most, I provided a CD containing my letters to the US Government. I wrote The New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, Christian Science Monitor, Harpers, Atlantic, Aljazeera, The Progressive Populist, and many more. I wrote and offered my story to TV shows such as Larry King Live, 20-20, 60 Minutes, and others. More recently, I offered my story to Keith Olberman. Despite my efforts over the years, I have never received even an acknowledgement from any of these media giants. I thought for sure that liberal magazines like Mother Jones and The Nation would jump on the story. However, once more to my amazement, I never received even an acknowledgement. Media outlets from around the world have been anesthetized and will not touch my story--let alone acknowledge that I have contacted them. The idea of a "free press" in America is a myth. The media is owned and controlled by billionaires and their primary purpose is to serve as outlets for political propaganda and the fraudulent marketing of pharmaceutical and other products. As in all areas of business in the US, the government maintains a hands-off approach. If you get an erection that lasts more than four hours, tell your doctor. Right. Here is our new drug for depression and its thirty side affects that can cause severe illness and even death. If it causes you to become suicidal, call your doctor. Right. If your skin turns yellow, indicating your liver has quit functioning, keep taking your anti-depressants, for your time is up anyway.
Getting nowhere with the major media corporations, I began to contact popular authors and journalists that I might be reading. Once more, there was a dead silence and I went many months without receiving even one acknowledgement.
One day I happened upon a story in Salem News (http://www.salem-news.com) by photojournalist, Tim King and decided to try one more time. After contacting him via email, I was surprised by his immediate response. Yes, he was definitely interested. When I told him about my many months of offering my story to other media outlets and journalists without one response, he told me that Salem News was the only remaining independent news source in the US. Based upon my experience, I had to agree.
Tim and Bonnie King, the publishers of Salem News, were soon interviewing me for their stories, which they published on Salem News, Google News, and other web sites. Their efforts to date are listed below. Various bloggers have picked up the story and I've included links to a couple of these below.
